Light rain doesn't usually close the trail and we only know Barfield is closed if they tell us. If the gate isn't open, try calling the Park Office at 615-890-5333 to verify if the trail is supposed to be closed. On weekends, visit or call the Wilderness Station at 615-217-3017.

Parks Dept. rents out the pavilions for gatherings. If you see an event, please park in the parking lot near the entrance where the play ground is or tennis courts. Ride615 Bike Shop also has their back parking lot available as well.

The trails are only open outside of Lawson H.S. hours... after 3pm - dusk. On weekends, there is a gate that opens at 8am.

11/1 ride report - soils still damp and conditions are a little slippery but overall rideable. Use Stinking Creek bypass during rainy season due to septic runoff concerns.
