Light rain doesn't usually close the trail and we only know Barfield is closed if they tell us. If the gate isn't open, try calling the Park Office at 615-890-5333 to verify if the trail is supposed to be closed. On weekends, visit or call the Wilderness Station at 615-217-3017.

Bells Bend trails are Beginner friendly and Nashville Metro Parks have FREE mountain bike rentals. Check them out at the Bells Bend Outdoor Center: Tue-Fri 12-4, Sat 9-4. Park Dept. rents out the pavilions for gatherings. If you see an event, please park in the parking lot near the entrance where the play ground is or tennis courts. Ride615 Bike Shop also has their back parking lot available as well.
